Bharat Sports Club is a family orientated grassroots cricket club based in the heart of Leicester City. We were first founded in Nairobi, Kenya in 1963, making us the oldest minority sports club in the city, before the club’s founding members moved to England in 1969. Whether you bowl medium pace or you’ve never picked up a bat — whether you can give an hour a week or a whole season — the club is built on the people who show up.

ABOUT US
More than just a cricket club.
The club moved to the Davenport Road Playing Fields in 2004 and it has been our home ever since. We now have over 80 members, a junior’s section, a women’s section and three senior men’s teams playing within the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League — supported by a loyal family of spectators.
