— FREQUENTLY ASKED
A few things people ask before getting in touch.
1. I’ve never played proper cricket — am I welcome?
Absolutely. Bharat is a community club first, a competitive one second. Our 3rd XI and our soft-ball Women’s side both welcome players who are picking up the game for the first time. Drop in on a Sunday practice and have a go.
2. What does membership cost?
Senior membership is set at the AGM each February. Junior membership is heavily subsidised and includes coaching. Email us and we’ll send the current rates with no obligation.
3. Do you have facilities for women and girls?
Yes. Our Women’s XI plays soft-ball and hard-ball through the season, and our juniors section is open to girls in every age group. The pavilion has separate changing facilities.
4. How does sponsorship work?
We offer kit, match-day, ground signage and tournament sponsorship at a few levels. Email hello@bharatsportsclub.co.uk and we’ll send the pack.
5. Can I just come and watch a game?
Please do. Home matches at Davenport Road are open to all, free of charge. Bring a chair, bring the family, stay for tea.
